User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe Hot Skillet is deffinately one of the best places in Wise county and should be a hidden delight for cross country drivers. What kind of truck stop has rosemary encrusted pork loin or talapia or yellow fin tuna steak? This one does. These would not be on the menu but one of their specials at dinner or Sunday lunch. The best pork chops, the salads are huge as are the burgers, breakfasts are great and can be ordered anytime. I eat there often- at least every couple of weeks and have not had anything that was bad. The chocolate cake is beyond delicious.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGood food, served hot: Very good food inside truck stop. Sandwiches, burgers, salads, home-cooking platters, tex-mex. The fried catfish is quite good. Some of the best french fries I've ever had. Homemade desserts. Service adequate, not stellar. Have been there twice. Will definitely be going back.
