Staff is slow & not friendly. Food is ok but not consistent. Place is pretty, but doesn't make up for service and food. Try the Tex-Mex place in Lindsay (about 5 miles west) called Zuna's Tex-Mex (5+stars always)

The cheese enchiladas are the OK. The beef fajitas are good, though a little on the small side. The super beef chimichanga is excellent when served with queso. Don't ever order the brisket on the menu as it has been sitting around all day. The salsa is good. The chips are heavy and frequently taste like they've been under a heat lamp too long, so they taste burnt. The cleanliness is average for restaurants we have frequented. The atmosphere is very nice. We've always tried to figure out if the place was an Italian restaurant before it was a Mexican restaurant because of the map-like decor on the walls. They have remodeled & upgraded the place through the years, including a double front door to protect patrons from the elements. Thankfully the bar is now in the back. The service is adequate, though very up & down with the server. The tea & soda glasses are average size, and can go dry for a while between fill-ups. Menus have been improved but prices have gone up again. You carry your check to the front counter to pay. Sometimes the line is long, but it moves smoothly. We go there regularly, as does much of Gainesville. It seems to be the best that Gainesville has to offer.
