There's nothing I dislike about this restaurant, except maybe that they don't utilize their bar. I took my parents there when they came out to visit from Massachusetts and also took some friends and they were all impressed. Great rustic look and an awesome place to eat.

The food was good. However, the service could have been a little better. The waitress took longer than expected to take our orders and it took a long time for our food to arrive.

My husband and i just had a late lunch at the Prairie House. It USED to be my favorite place to eat. I ordered chicken fried steak, he ordered a burger. First off, the waitress must have had a bad day or it was the end of her shift or something - i had to ask her to bring my husband another beer (his empty was sitting at the edge of the table for 15 mins and she never asked if he wanted another), the dinner salad that came with my meal tasted watered down, the mashed potatoes were over-peppered, the chicken fried steak was oil-soaked and mushy. She didn't bother coming back once the whole time we were eating to check on us. I told my husband it was fine with me if we don't go there again.
