User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIt's getting a LOT better. Denny's is under new management and re-staffed. The best time to go in would be late nights. It is very slow then and the overnight staff is very friendly. The food comes out as quickly as it can cook and looks very appetizing. This is one place that should be given a second chance.

Denny's used to be a nice place to eat. It has gone down hill. The service you get is awful. Waitresses are really rude and have a attitude problems. It is like the waitresses do not want there eating because they will have to work. All the food gets over cooked. They burn scrambled eggs!!

The evening meal went fine and the service was great.
The next morning, it was very busy but we were seated promptly and our order was taken right away. It took a long time for the meal to come and when it did, it was totally wrong. My husband got my eggs and I got his and I did not get "all bacon" nor did I get my toast but pancakes instead. I heard other complaints as I was waiting.
It was not our waitress who was at fault she was very focused and attentive, it was the kitchen again !! Same problem in Killeen and apparently all other Denny's I have been to.
The other thing I noticed is that many of the wait staff smoke cigarettes and were smoking when we came into the restaurant. One had a cigarette in her mouth as she was hanging around the register and then later exited the restaurant while smoking. Others were smoking at the seating counter in the smoking section. I used to smoke, but this was completely inappropriate for the staff of a restaurant. For one thing, you could not tell who was on a break and who wasn't in what appeared to be an already under staffed Denny's.
This is probably the better Denny''s in the area. And, the coffee is great !
I would love to find a better place for breakfast, maybe Ryan's in Killeen.
