The food has such great taste and flavor, just tastes so much like homemade but even better. Try the Steak Ranchero I was recommended ths one by a group of guys who like to eat there.

Great Find!!: I am a huge fan of GOOD mexican food and am always on the hunt for that perfect hole in the wall, undiscovered restaurant with true mexican food. I found that place in Junction Texas!!! On the return to Arizona from our 2 week road trip through west/mid Texas we stopped at La Familia. It was around 9pm when we rolled into town and stopped first at a BBQ restaurant just off the freeway. My husband went in to check it out and even though they didn't close for another 45 minutes they had the place packed up and ready to close. So we headed into the small town down Main St. to see what we could see. It was getting late and we didn't have much hope of finding anything but a burger joint. Then we came upon La Familia, and noticed a couple trucks pulling into the parking lot and the locals going in. So we followed suit. Out of the 6 other cars in the lot, there was only one other from out of state (CA). My husband and I and our three little boys were pretty much starving at this point. We were greeted and seated by the most pleasant lady. Being of grandmotherly age she doted on the boys. Our waitress was extremely nice and friendly. The boys orded plain bean and cheese burro's, being of a more tender palate. My husband orded the #2 Special Plate and I the Chicken chimi with a side of rice. Immediately the little boys began commenting how good their food was, they have never done that before. The Beans and rice were so flavorfull it was amazing, not your bland or canned beans by any means. My husband and I couldn't stop saying "mmmmm" after every bite. The food was so flavorful....not spicey hot, but spicey flavorful. It was delicious! The price was just as good, around $35 for the 5 of us. (it's usually $60-70 for the same amount of food/drink.) The ambience was very subdued, plain and simple. But the food was outstanding and so was the price and the service.
