How are you,
First of all, please disregard the negative reviews about Baker Street Cafe. I cannot comprehend how anybody can be dissatisfied with this wonderful, one-of-a-kind place.
Two and a half years ago I was stationed at Goodfellow AFB. When I found Baker Street, it was a heavenly and welcome retreat of beautiful, old-fashioned music, a relaxing atmosphere of clean, comfortable couches and tables, and a friendly upbeat staff to take care of you. There are bookshelves and board games to entertain yourself with. You can bring your laptop and spend all day, comfortable and surrounded by good people (none of that Starbucks snobbiness), surfing or completing work.
They are open so early and close so late, it can work around your schedule more than any other cafe I have ever been in.
I met a beautiful man who was also stationed at Goodfellow and spent 60% of my time with him there. Now we are married and reminisce of our extraordinary experiences with Baker Street Cafe. There is not a day that goes by when we say, "Let's go to Baker Street!", then look at each other, look around, and quietly sigh. We are not in Texas anymore, but the spirit of San Angelo and Texas remains with us through memories of the unique Baker Street Cafe.
excellent coffee and the soup is not bad either: very good choice of coffees and you can drink all you want while reading. there soups are very good and reasonably priced. good selection of books to read. can be noisy at times but mostly quite. a good place to relax
Filthy: I have tried this establishment three times and it was filthy and noisy every time. I will never go back.
