    Stayed there last night for a romantic night with my boyfriend and it was everything but that. The hotel was over crowded with SEVERAL people waiting in the lobby for rooms to be cleaned. We were first assigned a smoking room that was absolutely disgusting. The room was very musty and all the walls stained, not to mention you couldn't breathe walking down the halls on the smoking floor. We were given another room, which was better, but still way out of date. The rooms were tiny and the T.V. was even smaller! Every time we showered the smoke detector went off and we would have to stand there waving a towel over it to get it to stop. I agree that the wait for the elevator is awful. We had to wait for quite a while and then when an elevator did come it was jam packed, so we would have to wait for the next one. We ate at the Spindletop restaurant and it is definitely over rated. The food is overpriced and I was not very impressed. The service was also horrible, and the place wasn't even busy. To make matters worse, the spinning makes you sick! To top everything off, I cut myself and there was not a band-aid to be found in the entire 927 room hotel. The gift shop was also all sold out. I was given a piece of gauze and some tape. I will never go back to this hotel again!

    You gotta Stay: The servise was so extratic, I mean you can't complain it is a beautiful and it has a lot of resources inside like a salon and many Conference Room as well as a Spindel Top restraunt that spins while you eat dinner and you can even see a view of the city.

    We had a great time!: The Hyatt Regency Houston was giving a great rate on the hotels during Hotel Katrina at the last minute. We were very happy and jumped for it. The customer service was very good and I definitely recommend it. The only concern you should have if you go there is for requests (towels, blankets) . The requests are slow .
