| About: | Many debate whether Leon's Lounge is the oldest bar in Houston or if those honors go to La Carafe downtown. Does it really matter other than to say is that this bar has that special something that makes it the perfect watering hole for every generation. Is it the crazy chandeliers? Or excellent jukebox? Maybe they've just managed to hire some of the city's best bartenders. Somehow, since 1947, they have continued to hit on that magic combination of warm ambiance, excellent pricing, and generous pours that get people in and keep them coming back. |

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsTake a walk on the wild side: One step into Leon's and it has everything you might need for a night of leisure. There's suffleboard and always a willing player. Darts and pool are also available; but the real charm of this establishment is the charming bartender. Always a comment on the latest happenings in sports. and can make a mad drink smile. Just ask for Jason. This bar is centrally located to houston downtown nightlife. And for those interested in Houston History just ask Greg and he'll let you in on the background of this neighborhood gem. Definately a place to stop in but a bar that feels like home. Cheers!
