For those that say that Thelma is rude - no she isn't. She treats everyone as if they were family - so sugar coating anything. If you left the door open at the old place then she would hollar at you to close the door like she'd do one of her kids. She is straight forward and no nonsense. This is by far the best BBQ in Houston and surrounding areas. Her sauce is the closest to my own home made sauce - LOVE it. Food is always fresh and hot and there is plenty of it to share. Her pies and cakes are just like mom made too. There is almost always a wait so be prepared and come early. We drive over an hour to eat there and this is the only place i will get BBQ from - nothing else compares.
