User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI was horrified by the customer service and left absolutely speechless! That old lady who works the ordering window is the rudest person working in business of serving customers. I wish I could have recorded what I witnessed today in that resturant. She literally yelled at the customer in front of me for 20 minutes straight and all he wanted to do was order extra beef on the potato. Nobody should have to go through that when you are paying for food. I will report this incident to the Houston Chronicle who named this resturant 1 of the top 10 places to eat good bar-b-q. That women needs medication for her anger!

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsFor those that say that Thelma is rude - no she isn't. She treats everyone as if they were family - so sugar coating anything. If you left the door open at the old place then she would hollar at you to close the door like she'd do one of her kids. She is straight forward and no nonsense. This is by far the best BBQ in Houston and surrounding areas. Her sauce is the closest to my own home made sauce - LOVE it. Food is always fresh and hot and there is plenty of it to share. Her pies and cakes are just like mom made too. There is almost always a wait so be prepared and come early. We drive over an hour to eat there and this is the only place i will get BBQ from - nothing else compares.

You are clearly a relative trying to boost her reviews, because her behavior toward customers is not acceptable.
i agree she is not the best when it comes to customer service but on the other hand the food is good. Is it the best I have ever tasted? No it is not and her attitude has kept me from going back and I love bar b que.
