As a regular to the 'Cano, it's a laid back place worth adding to your regular drinking hole list. Monday's are $12 steak night which I encourage all to try! A steak big enough for two, fresh garlic mash potatoes & a house salad that rocks... who could ask for more!? Specialty drinks are: Strawberry Tom Collins, Strawberry Basil Ritas and Mojitos! The Volanco staff believes fresh is best and takes this theory to the ultimate! Limes, lemons, oranges, even grapefruit are squeezed as you order. Mint is brought in daily, so it's all good! Locals are happy to show you around and keep you in-the-know as to the special get togethers hosted here. Chili Cook-offs, Cross Decorating & Themed Costume Parties are just a taste of what this place offers. In the heart of West U, this place is off the beaten path... most pass it by never knowing what the Bougainvillea hides so well. A good walking distance from the G-man, Baker's St & Brian O'Neill's but worth the truck. Most of us regulars find playing dodge with the Bissonnet cars more favorable to hit Kay's (another untapped jewel) only to wonder back to the 'Cano before the evening ends. It's a home away from home that offers a great mix of people... all ages and cultures on any given night, and all willing to say "Hi"... what more needs to be said. :o)

Best Mojito in town: I love the atmosphere.....no thugs.....good music, the BEST Mojitos....
and its the only bar in town iv found that carries the St. Arnold Devine reserve
which is the beer in the world......literally...

Best Bar in Houston: This place is a must! They have the best specialty drinks and the best food menu that a bar can serve!! Who cares if it's crowded, it's worth it! And the prettiest Texas women are the bartenders serving your drinks!!
