User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsHome Away From Home: If you ever go on a weekend, you will undoubtedly see me and my crew there. AWESOME staff, casual atmosphere, great if you're sick of the club scene, as there are few sceney individuals here. The crowd are all regulars, complete with Irish, Scottish and British transplants. If Houston's Great Britain clan is here- you know it's good.

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe Kelvin always go back: Cool surroundings of an old bank complete with the vault, mixed with a Scottish over tone. They have a good selection of well kept beers. A pool table in the back, a number of T.V's. Really they have it all If you wanna chill and chat sit in the vault, or catch the game on the plasma screen, maybe shoot some pool or darts, or just hang at the bar and have a couple beers or choose from one of hundreds of whiskeys. The service is second to none, fast, efficient, friendly and a bartender that introduces himself to you and then remembers your name the next time you go in. All in all the Kelvin is a Great bar.

We were looking around Houston for possible Scotch drinkers to invite to our Free Tastings at Costco Liquors. We are sampling Famous Grouse on Thursday from 5-8pm and Johnnie Walker Red & Black and Buchanan's on Saturday from 2-5pm as well as other liquors. Saturday will feature Scotch Ambassador James McCartney who will take questions and take customers through the world of Scotch Whisky. Feel free to bring as many friends as you can. Costco Liquors does not require a membership and you are not required to purchase items. Tastings are free. 713.961.9206
