Great place...I take clients there all the time. The service is excellent and the sushi is fresh. This is the only place I've been to where the smoked salmon sashimi is actually 3 bites per piece. They really give you what you pay for. They also give you a free appetizer and a scoop of ice cream on the house. The Crunch roll is out of this world. I highly recommend this place.
I search out Asian restaurants in Houston and went here after reading these great reviews. I will have to say that I was not so impressed. Although there were a lot of people around, the service was less than attentive. The desert was offered by the waiter to the man next to me as "on the house". However, when I ordered it, there was a charge. The food was ok but average. The restaurant was clean and nice inside but was less than half full at lunch; a bad sign. I might go back for a fish dish but I saw so much seafood being left out without any refrigeration that I am concerned about that as well. Perhaps this place has changed hands because every Asian I spoke with was Chinese and not from Japan. I suggest that you try this if you are in the area but don't go out of your way.
Im Never LEAVING: This is the BEST Sushi place I have ever eaten at. I go here at least once a week. It is worth every penny. The food is fresh. Everything I have ordered there has been 100%. I have taken many people there and they take people. I have not heard one negative comment. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND OSAKA. And it is good for any occasion.
