This is the BEST place to eat.This is REAL cooking. The workers are very nice.The place is clean. I have been to other places that claim to know how to cook but this place KNOWS. It is just like going back in time when you wanted a break from your own HOME COOKING.

50 year old recipies, old style furniture and service. It is like going back in time to the '60's here. I like the mini plate which has two vegies and an entree and roll. Fried chicken, meat loaf, ribs, roast beef, chicken livers, fried okra, mashed potatoes, deserts....good quality and good food. The people are nice and conciencious. They have been written up several times in the Houston Press. I know people who go out of their way to come here. I like it.

I'll Be Back: Like breaded pork chops, green beans & new potatoes, bread pudding with lemon sauce? Do the Dinner Bell Cafeteria. It cost $10 for this meal.
