I went to this restaurant in April 2008 and my waiter had the worst service. He had questionable hygiene. I saw more than one waiter coughing while they had food in their hands on the way to a table. I understand waiters get sick but stay home. I noticed our waiter was sick but didnt see him touch our food or cough on it. But within 24 hours I was sick. Food wasn't very good.

I haven't been back since, I hope manager/owner cleaned that place up. Good luck on your job search.

The Blacy Eyed Pea @ west grey will always hold a special place in my heart. We always had great food and service, I cant get that at any other location. May you rest in peace. Heres hoping we can save other landmark establishments.

Thanksgiving Dinner: My family and I enjoy spending the holidays together how no one has the time to cook. We decided to go to the Black Eye Pea on 34th and 290. It was awesome. The food was great. We could not order from the regular menu but they put together some really good choices to pick from. And to top it all off the waiter, I think his name was Steven was awesome. Made us feel like we were at home.
