Best brisket, and potato salad I've ever had and I've eaten a lot! The beans are slowly becoming one of my favorites also. I eat there 5 - 6 times a year and it's always good.
They have mesquite-smoked meats down pretty darn good here. They serve allot of folks from 11am to night-fall. You can't go wrong here.
We ate from this restaurant while visiting Houston. I saw it on FoodTV and they made it seem really awesome. We didn't eat at the restaurant, which was very crowded, just got carry-out. I was glad there was no wait for the food, as everything was already prepared and you just placed your order and they put it in the to go containers. I got the rib and brisket combo with a side of the jambalaya rice and baked beans.
All in all it was ok. Their meat is more smoked than barbequed. I prefer barbequed meat, although the brisket was better than the ribs. The barbeque sauce was very "watery" and seemed like it had a strong tomato base taste to it. The rice was the best part of the meal.
Would I eat there again? Probably not. I've eaten at barbeque chains that tasted better. But I'm very picky about my barbeque.

"the meat is more smoked than barbequed". Doesn't sound like this reviewer knows much about Texas barbeque.
