    I'm not a big fan of catfish, but after hearing all the good recommendations from friends and then reading the reviews here on Yahoo, I had to try it. I've got to say that if everybody made catfish like this, I would be a catfish lover. The portions were just right, the service was friendly and fast. Looking over at some of the other tables, I saw some great looking country dishes go by. Highly recommended.

    My fiance' took me there for the first time this summer and I fell in love with their food...omg. The hushpuppies and sweet green tomatoes are just so good. I have no complaints when I go there and everytime I come into town, I crave their catfish. We made the mistake of ordering catfish somewhere else and it was barely edible. It was soggy and didn't have any flavor at all. We will NEVER do that again!! It's Vernon's or nothing! They are A++ in my book!!
