User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI've tried the homestead three times and it is sadly way overhyped. How do you manage to serve 4 plates of cold food and undercooked scalloped potatoes? How can the steaks vary so much? And why do you keep seating female parties of two and four near the entrance to the toilets! And then act as if nothing was wrong at inflated prices. Great appetizers, soups, and salads, but the main courses - at dinner and brunch - don't stack up against better restaurants. Maybe it is the lack of any other fine dining choice for miles that makes me keep returning hoping next time will be better.

Oh my GOD. The best steak in the world. I still cant figure out what such an excellent place is doing in this back woods town. The chef-owner I hear is from a 5 star restaurant in Dallas. Moved to Huntsville to help take care of his parents.

Without a doubt, the best resturant this side of Houston. The food is fantastic and the service is superb. The menu is diverse and the prices are reasonable considering the quality of the cuisine and the service.
