    The classes are fine... it's getting into them that is the problem. The administration is horrible. They place a hold on your account every chance they get for seemingly no reason then they can't or won't resolve things in a timely manner. Seriously, trying to get the administration to get anything accomplished is ridiculous. On top of that, they're rude and they treat you like a child. There are a handful of people who actually know what is going on and can help you and they're next to impossible to contact. I've had issues with mystery holds on my account that none of them seem to know anything about which has resulted in missing an entire semester because they could not resolve it to allow me to attend classes. They owe my girlfriend about $550 and she has been trying to get it from them for the last six months. My cousin and several friends have had serious issues with them as well. Their computer system is always going down or otherwise malfunctioning as well. Point being, they are supposed to be there to facilitate your education not hinder it. They seriously need to reform the way they operate. The classes are cheap and transfer easily but unfortunately you get what you pay for. I will say this for the VA rep though; she's great and incredibly helpful. If you're a veteran consider yourself lucky.

    For some reason, this college thought it best to change their student records offices in the middle of heavy registration period! I sent in multiple requests for transcripts to be sent to a new college, but for some reason I had a hold on my account. So I spent many hours on the phone, only to end up talking to a voicemail. Even after leaving multiple messages, no one returned my calls for days (and they still haven't!). Finally, my other friend who was having issues with their system got a call back and I got a number from her... After more wait time on the phone, they told me that they updated their system and that I needed to log on to my old account (I attended this school two years ago) and approve some sort of residency thing. I did that, requested the transcripts be sent for the THIRD time and still nothing. Finally, I got in touch with the lady in charge with sending transcripts who then told me they had yet to receive any requests and that I still had the same hold on my account. I reasoned with her, and she told me she would be sending my transcript electronically as we spoke.. yet exactly one week later, my new college has yet to receive said transcript and the administrative offices at Lonestar are conveniently closed until January 3rd! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. It's unfortunate that colleges act as if you are not their consumer and that they do not need to treat you as any business would treat a customer.

    This college has problems. My son and daughter-in-law both made the big leap to get degrees after several years in the workforce, and cannot get their financial aid processed. They were told several weeks ago that everything was in order, they checked every 10 days for two months and were told "you're being processed, just keep checking your email" and then this week they were told their forms weren't even processed yet and won't be until January 2011 because they are shutting down to install a new computer system. They can't live without financial aid, so their college career is dead before it ever started. Shame on this school, they have chased these two back in to low paying jobs instead of college, because they are starving to death. Pitiful.
