I called before I came to see if I could reserve a table for a large birthday party and the representative told me that I could not reserve a table but I could come in and would be seated with priority however, the experience my party and I experienced was much different. It was extremely crowded when we got to the restaurant. There wasnât anywhere for waiting guest to sit because it was so packed. I informed the host that not all of my party had arrived and that I would let them know when we were ready. We got there around 7:50 p.m. and all of our guests arrived around 8:15 p.m. We then informed the host that we were ready to be seated. They told us that they had already seated a large party and there was going to be a wait for another large table, we agreed and said okay. Well after waiting until 8:45 p.m. we asked the host how much longer would it be and they said that the large party was leaving and they only needed to clean the table so it would only be a few more minutes. Itâs now 9:00 p.m and guest with arriving after us are being seated as soon as they walk in so we approach the host again and she now says, âOh the party is still seated, just a few more minutes because they are getting ready to leave.â She had just told us that they were leaving so why did she change up here story? We go check with the host again at 9:30 p.m. and again she says that the family hadnât left. At this point we ask to speak with the manager. Caesar de la Garza approaches us and asks whatâs wrong. We inform him that we have been waiting for over an hour and watched smaller parties arriving after us be seated already. He only confirms what the host said, saying that the large party had not left and it would be just a few more minutes. We are furious at this point and ask him is there some way that he could accommodate us for waiting so long and he says no. I ask him where his manager is and he says that he wasnât available. He then comes over and hands me a card saying if I wanted to speak with someone then to call the corporate handwritten number on the card. He was very rude and nasty, why would you want me to call corporate instead of just being nice to your guest? We had a large party and were willing to provide business to your restaurant. Through good service Razzooâs could have had returning customers but from this past experience I will never recommend anyone to this type of treatment. We leave around 10:00 p.m. still without a table, then when we leave out of the door the host finally comes and says that our table is ready! What kind of service is that? We had already been waiting since 7:50 p.m. We tell the host that we no longer need the table and we leave and go to Papaduaex (Across the freeway) who seated as soon as we arrived. I canât believe your host and manager were so rude. We also learn that there was another manager on duty over Caesar but he did not come and speak with us at any point! I am shocked and appalled by your employees whose main jobs are to ensure the best customer experience. My birthday was almost ruined by this but because we finally found great service at another restaurant, I enjoyed the rest of my night.
My husband and I ate there around 2:00 in the afternoon on Feb.22,2009..The hostess was concerned with her cell phone a text messageing. The service was practically NONE..I hardly saw a waitress or a waiter. Plenty of open tables and people waiting on tables. clean up slow. Food..my fried shrimp was crisp on the outside but slimey not done on the inside. No bread or coleslaw, no homemade onion rings for appetizers. I lived in Luziana for 5 yrs. and this restaurant is a disgrace! Hard chairs as well. No cocktail sauce..no biscuits. Loud loud loud.I guess some customers moved to the table they wanted after sitting at another table. No control over crying kids and kids allowed to rome around. Don't waste your money..go to papadeaux across the freeway. Poor management and people working there that think you owe them a living. Non friendly bar tenders. The manager is obviously scared of his workers to have a staff such as this working at this restaurant. We left NO tip and I am a 20% tipper. I wrote terrible on my ticket. My husband said our waiter ran over to our table to see his non existant tip. He sure went over to our table for that..NaDa..none.
For the price of the food at Razzoo's, you might as well just go across the street to Papadeaux's and call it a day. The greeting staff at the front of the store is usually friendly, but the actual waiters tend to become absent during the meal, and every single time I've been there, I had to wait about ten to fifteen minutes for my check to be brought after I said I was ready for it. The atmosphere is cool, but Papadeaux is a more grown-up environment with food that easily rivals (if not destroys) the food at Razzoo's.
Hope this helps, but as always, go there and make you own opinion.

I used to work there. After the G.M. Matt left it all went downhill. Food is ok but not special and overpriced for what you get. There is a lawsuit pending due to the fact they used to only hire female bartenders!
