My issue with this vet is they charge way too much. The service is not all that either, because they don't even throughly check out your pet when you take them in. For example, when I took my pet in for an infection, the vet just looked at it and said it was infected. Duh! I knew that, but instead of cleaning the infected area out and examining it throughly, they immediately suggested a shot of antiboatics, no problem there, however, I wanted to know if it would be cheaper if I gave my pet the medication orally myself, so I asked, they said yes, but the vet insisted he give the injection. Strange I thought, but at this point he made me feel like I didn't have a choice and besides I just wanted my pet to get better. then they suggested an x-ray, by this time I felt like I was being screwed royally, so I told them that I didn't think it was necessary because my pet didn't look like it had a broken leg. The vet than decided to take the x-ray fee off my bill. However, he stated if I come back the following week for a follow up, he was gonna do the x-ray if my pets leg was not better. I'm thinking, okay your suppose to help my pet not drain my pocket book. So needless to say, I am now shopping around for a new vet--and did you know that there are vets out there that charge way less for a vet visit and on top of that they even run specials on certain days on immuzations. This vet does not even offer or give out any info on any specials if they do have any. So people please check around before you decide to go with this vet.
We have been using Dr. Brice/Fry Road Animal Clinic for 20 years. If you had a bad experience, I am sorry. However, we have always received excellent care for our animals. They have never run a test that wasn't required. They truly care about their four legged patients and are loving and kind. The vets are very careful in the examination of my animals and take their time examining them. The kindness and tenderness when your animal has to be put down is beyond measure.
We have been taking our dogs here since we moved to Katy in March of 2007. We have never had any problems with them and the dogs love Dr. Brice and the technicians. One of our dogs has seizures and we frequent the office quite often and never once have we not been able to seem them. They know our dogs by name and even the front desk ladies know our dogs. Gig 'em!
I am so happy to have found Dr.Brice. Smart, smart guy. The office is busy and it seems to take a few days to get an appointment to see him but there are other vets in that office. The staff are great and they remember my dogs name. The exam rooms are really clean. I couldn't spot any hair or nail clippings on the chair, exam table or on the floor.
Dr. Brice has been very careful and kind to my dog during each exam and doesn't rush thru the appointment. Not cheap.
