This place was really amazing. Being a vegetarian thdy didn't have too many options for me to eat. But their tomato-basil soup was fantastic. The layout of the place is kind of weird because most of the time there is no one to direct you around. I kinda also had a hard time to find the register but maybe that's just me.
Order up front, some items (soup/salad) readily available as you order. Other items (dinners/sandwiches) are prepared and then brought to your table. Layout of the restaurant was a bit confusing at first, perhaps I was expecting sit down service because of the nice, cozy atmosphere. Eventually one of the employees noticed I looked lost and directed me to the register. No apparent dress code: most people are in casual wear. I was in shorts/tshirt when I visited. First impression when the food arrived was the relatively small size of the sandwich. I was used to the fast food chain sized sandwiches, such as Quiznos' own version. However, I found the meal to be satisfying. Roast beef was very good, and the hint of horseradish really added a nice kick. The pesto pasta side was also quite tasty. Overall, the restaurant is a nice cozy place, probably ideal for bringing a date. However, for the price, I did expect a bit larger sandwiches. I'll probably visit this place a couple more times to try out their other menu items, and for special occasions.
Yummy!: I absolutely love La Madeline because of their delicious food, excellent service, and great atmosphere. My personal favorite is Chicken Ceasar Salad with Country Potato soup and an eclair to finish it off.
