"Straight Up Honest"
Emmons was truthful from the start and will work with you if you find something wrong with the car your looking at. I bought 2 cars from there just this year. The prices are excellent and good with comparison to the blue book value. However, the trade in value of my current vehicle was not so good so I sold it on my own. Alex Castillo was who we were working with as our car dealer.
Fair warning. This dealership gives a hardcopy of instructions on how to input encouraging reviews by customers into this website. These reviews are usually entered in the honeymoon phase.
My experience with this company was awful. I purchased a Civic a year ago with a clean Carfax report. Recently, I had front in alignment problems and the Honda dealership informed me that this car had been in a serious wreck with structural damage. Beams had been welded back and parts replaced. However, now I am left to wonder the status of the air bags. Carfax continues to report a clean bill of health. In hindsight, most likely Emmons knew this after thinking back to the transaction. I repeatedly asked for the service history and if the car had been in a wreck and they told me they inspected the car and it had not. Clearly, they were either incompetent or liars. In either case, I would steer clear of this dealership. I have purchased used cars in the past and never experienced a problem like this.
Great customer experience! Alex Castillo is fabulous. He was informative, knowledgeable, very personable and made the entire purchase process easy and low stress. The customer service was fabulous. Bought a vehicle for my son and everything was managed very well.

As an active owner in the dealership on a daily basis, I was very disappointed to read the review posted by "nomadic1." We do ask our customers to post their experience with our dealership on the web because we feel it is important to the community. We provide customers with complimentary Carfax Reports because we feel that they are a good tool to help in the decision making process when buying a pre-owned automobile. We have no influence on what information is being reported or not reported to Carfax's databases. While the big franchise dealerships such as Honda are certainly qualified to make practically any repair, they have a history of making statements that have a tendency to push the customer to spend unneccessary money in their service department, or take it a step further and convince the customer to trade in their vehicle and purchase one out of their existing inventory. This has become increasingly the trend as of late with the franchised dealerships closing their doors all over town due to layers and layers of overhead and the economy in a state of recession. All in an effort to increase their bottom line. Certainly, we want every customer to be pleased with their purchase. We take great pride in being the largest independent dealer in our area because we know that our success is a direct result of thousands of satisfied customers over the last 36 years. I am more than willing to consult with this customer and determine if there is any merit to his or her statement. As of this posting, my staff and I are unaware of the identity of this customer and any attempt that this customer may have made to contact our dealership. -Gary Emmons 713-943-1958
