Story #1) A few years ago my beautiful cat Nova was attacked by a Weimaraner in my neighborhood. I rushed her to Dr. Huber (who I had never been to before that day) and he took her in immediately. He did everything he could to try to save her as my 10 year old daughter and I watched. He worked on her for what seemed like an eternety when he looked at me and said she was dying. Dr. Huber hugged me as I cried. My daughter asked if we could have Nova cremated. I worried about the cost for the work Dr. Huber had done and the cost of the cremation. When it was all said and done, I was only charged for the cremation.
Story #2) Many months after Nova died we adopted another cat named Cookie. She was scrawny and cute. After having her for a week or so, I felt a lump on her belly. I took her to Dr. Huber and he said she had a hernia. He told me the pros and cons to getting or not getting surgery done on Cookie. Once again, I was faced with the what the cost would be for something like this. Dr. huber asked me how much I could afford and that is all he asked me to pay.
I love Dr. Huber for many reasons, but mostly because he truly loves animals.
Dr. Huber is a wonderful vet and man. My border collie, Dutchess was 14 yrs old. I was in Dallas, away from my family last August to care for my terminally ill Aunt and be with my mom. While I was gone, my husband was also laid off. It was a really difficult time for my family. My older boys called and said Dutchess was in bad shape and I needed to drive home. I drove home from Dallas on a Wed, put her to sleep on fri and drove back to Dallas. My Aunt died 6 days later. I honestly don't remember that day very well because Dutchess was one of my best friends and I was devestated.. I remember Dr. Huber hugging and comforting me and my oldest son said he couldn't believe how long he stayed in the room w/ me. Thank you so much for being such a great man.......with everything else going on at the time, you really helped me through that difficult decision to put her to sleep. Its been almost a year and I still have the shirt I was wearing, unwashed from that day. It was the last time I was able to hold her...She meant alot to me. I recommend him to anyone I talk too and now my brother is using him also. Thank you so much to you and your staff....
