I am a business owner and I know that it is impossible to please everyone. Our family has rented from BRS for several years and have always had a wonderful time. Some houses are better than others, some amenities are better than others. Any problems we have come across(hardly any) have been resolved in a timely and appropriate manner. I have dealt with other rental agencies in Surfside and I feel we are treated the best by this company. Our stay this year was one of the best and I look forward to next year!
My family has rented multiple times from this group, and have had a good experience each time. We have always gotten our deposit back because we left the houses clean. One time the microwave door decided to not open on the last day and a dish with food was stuck in there. We let them know and were not charged. They have been very upfront when when ask about the type of house we are looking for in regards to a large family. Their suggestions have been good.
RENTER-BE-WARE !!!! This was a beach house that resembled a double-wide trailer. BUT, we could have delt with that...the a/c was broken and the mgmt sent two guys to ck it and then a "real" a/c tech to repair it. None of them were able to fix the unit. What a total disappointment. The heat was unbearable. I literally took 4 showers in one day to cool off. My poor children could never cool off from being at the beach. We were misreable and disguested with the way we were treated. Mgmt should have brought us some window units to cool the house. They did send us 6 fans, 1 of them was broken. But we were suffocating from the heat. The only thing that kept us there was the amount of $$$ we had already spent and the fact that we were celebrating our parents 46 yr anniversary. Our parents probably thought..."what kind of gift is this", but they just played it off that they were ok. Please, use another company.
From what I read, they were offered a free weekend in the SAME house for the A/C and the Martinez's are accepting it...so I guess the house could not have been that bad. Things happen out of peoples control and the Martinez's need to realize that....no company can snap their fingers and magically make it happen. I am not sure about anyone else but I have NEVER been able to get the A/C guy out to my house in less than a day or two. Sorry...but no sympathy from me for the Martinez's.
I believe BRS should contact Mrs Martinez and make this right, Yes this was a busy weekend and maybe the previous rents did not inform BRS of the situation. From the sounds of this the visit did not go well and for BRS to should have either give them another stay at a different site and make the customer happy and hopefully a returning client. I would preferred to have read that a solution was made. Also is the owner of this location BRS or an individual owner? The owner should also inspect these units so that they do not have to read these comments online.
End the end the Customer is always Right.
I can see where this could be a problem if previous renters did not make aware of a issue with the A/C. The units are subjected to alot of use and things happen at the least expected time, with very little warning and with the limited resource due to the location and extreme weather conditions with sand and heat it is difficult to handle the situtation to everyone satisfaction. I am an owner that uses BRS services and I feel that they will try in anyway to turn this situation into something alittle more positive. That is if you are willing to except and be alittle understanding under the circumstances being that was a very busy holiday wkend. I think they est. over 200k vistors
Handled it in a timely, professinal and considerate manner...THATS A LOAD OF CRAP ...we are not difficult people to deal with, we would have appreciated some empathy for our situation...instead we ARGUED with both owners (thats the professional part i guess) just to get broken down fans. The worst part was how ya just disregarded us. Oh and FYI we didnt decline the weekend we will be there on our free weekend. I will report back.
