User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsBaywood Grocery store, This grocery store really sucks for the disabled. They know their the only grocery store in the area and they use that fact. For me, that is the only grocery store that I can go to as I am in a wheelchair. I have no other transportation so I have to go there. Their prices are higher than other stores. Be careful to check the marked prices on the food because the manager will not put the price in the computer and when you go to check out the price will always be $0.15 to $o.30 higher than marked. On the 1st to the 3rd when the retired and the disabled get their money the shelves are rarely fully stocked. On more than one occasion I have found products on the shelves that are way out of date for shelf life. Would someone please open a new grocery store close to this location that is more fare to the people. For the last 9 years since I have lived here in Hitchcock, I have said if there was a grocery store close enough to get to in my wheelchair, I would go there and not Baywood Food Grocery Store. Like I said at the begining, BAYWOOD FOOD GROCERY STORE SUCKS!

I agree wth you Nina. I absolutely hate grocery shopping there. But what can a person do when they have no choice but to go there.
