A great restaurant.I really liked the Cob Salad.I eat there at least twice a month. And I would recommend it to everyone.
Pretty good food but service can vary from excellent to terrible depending on the server. Will continue to go!
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: My first time at Sanderson's. We were seated at a booth, and after a few minutes, moved to a table. The booths are really uncomfortable and for an average size person, the table is too far away. That was the good part.
Moving put us in another server's area, and from that point, the service went into the toilet (the bad). Our new server was a young male who didn't feel the need to respond when I was served canned green beans as my veggie when I had ordered a squash mixture. I despise can green beans, dressed up or not. Not only did I get the dreaded veggie, I got a double portion! When the plate was sat in front of me and I asked for something else, I was told "the truck comes tomorrow and that's all we have." What??? No salad, no soup, no nothing else?!
For the ugly part, I then obviously commited a grievous sin because the young man pulled his hair (no joke) when I requested bread. He told me they didn't have any, but he could go get me some toast.
I will say the catfish ponchartrain was good and the rice pilaf was a nice side. Too bad a decent piece of fish with a tasty sauce and rice isn't enough of a reason to drive to the other side of the county for dinner.
