I guess I should have read the reviews. Beware, i drove 40 miles to go and get a car that I saw on the net, at an advertised price. I had financing arranged with them, and mind you, I havent' been turned down at any other dealership. The Salesman said they made a mistake on the price, that it should have been about 1400.00 higher, but they would honor the price, since that's why i came. I saw the internet manager log on and change it to the higher price, right before my eyes, but assured me i would get it for the price i saw, and had a paper stating. Well, after two hours of being told they were getting all the papers together, he comes back and tells me that because i had shopped around, and i had too many approvals from other dealers, they couldn't get me financed! If i bought the car cash, they would sell it to me at the price i saw. Then he proceeds to tell me that I can go somewhere else, and obtain outside financing to buy the car at the price i saw. Correct me if i'm thinking wrong, but if I had too many other approvals ( I did, i just didn't like the terms at the other dealers, so i didn't sign) they how the heck am i supposed to go and get ANOTHER approval from somewhere else to buy their car? I'm not even going to go into what the internet manager told me in conversation about one of the dealerships other cutomer.
Bought a vehicle earlier this year but it was NOT a good experience: the finance guy tried tacking on extra stuff like the platinum extended warranty & extra insurance. We didn't even get papers the day we signed - they came later in the mail. When the papers arrived we noticed the extra stuff. We complained to the manager who told us that the finance guy was just trying to get incentives. He proceeded to tell us that when they sell the extra stuff like insurance & warranties, they get trips to Las Vegas & such. He apologized by lowering our APR a few points & removing the extra insurance. The experience didn't end there, it's just too much for this post. Take it from us: SHOP STRICKLAND AT YOUR OWN RISK! If you do shop there, go over everything with a fine-tooth comb!!!!
Just great people: Bought a car from "Mo", the best Sales rep in Houston. I service with Dave Bergeron and he always if freindly and helpful.
