    Whenever we travel between our home in SW Louisiana and relatives in Houston, we try to arrange our travel so we are passing through Winnie around meal time so we can stop at Al T's for what we know will be a great meal. We have never gotten anything here that wasn't exceptional. I especially love their steaks. I believe that the best steaks I have ever eaten in a restaurant was at Al T's. I would highly recommend the Thibodeax's Special which is a great steak topped with crawfish etouffe and a side order of dirty rice.

    We haven't heard whether the resuatrant sustained any damage from Hurricane Ike, we hope not. As soon as Texas gets some of their damage cleaned up, we will once again head to Houston and stop at Al T's for some great food.
