    Excellent food, good service, reasonable price. This is my favorite place to eat in Victoria. Have eaten there several times. All of the lunch specials are good. Had steak on Tuesday night and it was superb. Consistent quality. A good plate of food. Not a big dessert place. They usually have a dessert available but it is not the core of their offering. Also enjoyed the salad.

    Chicken Fried Steak is huge and good tasting: CFS come on one plate, sides on another. Can be split with a loved one. Prices are great and the Food is great too! Good down home cookin.

    Wonderful Little Eatery: I've eaten at the Double J several times in the past couple of months and each time it's been an excellent experience. The food is prepared fairly quickly and is always prepared exquisitely. The portions are fairly large for the prices as well. The service has been exceptional each time I've visited and the owner has even stopped over to ask how everything was. A very homey feel - you can definitely tell it's a Mom n' Pop type of restaurant. The ambiance isn't quite my scene but I'm not the most country person either and this place is very Texan archtypal.

    The place is excellent overall and I'll definitely eat there many more times in the future.
