Arrowhead is a decent range with a decent price for shooting (flat $10). Contrary to Keith s grudge review, the range is very safe. All berms are built to standard safety specifications. The range provides a nice place to sight in your firearms and some recreational shooting.
This is a Range that is unsafe. The Rifle and pistol berms are substandard, the range is trashed out and the 25, 50 and 100 yard ranged rifle firing lines at range are in line with residential homes in the area. A Lot of Safety on this range is not being observed which makes it dangerous for the people shooting anth residents in the area. The range has not been designed to be good neighbor. Go to Gunsmoke in Snook Tx. or Champion Firearms in College Station Tx, for a safe range in the area
Did some looking around. Looks like Keith is Keith McDaniel who owns a business just up the road from this range. Confirmed that his review is just a grudge.
These folks run a very rural range, a bit North of Bryan. The big plus is that the fee (as of May 2011) is a flat rate, not by the hour. The facilities are quite basic, but quite acceptable and the staff is very helpful & friendly.
