CORRECTION~~~This review is for RUDY'S = New Texas franchise in town, on North McPherson Road, just south of Del Mar. Features great BBQ, homestyle atmosphere. Man-sized portions of meat smoked to perfection! Personal favorite is the smoked turkey, out of this world but pork and beef are also available. Monday special includes an extra sandwich. Nice choice of sides and desserts, iced beer is available, plus the usual assortment of tea & soft drink, but be sure to keep your large plastic cup for a deeply discounted refill on your next trip!! Basically it's pick up your own condiments, drinks, and bus your own trays. Open air veranda dining is nice feature, staff is friendly, courteous and fast. Credit cards welcome. Gas is available for your car outside, and often the price per gallon is less than the nearby gas stations or supermarket.
