What was the condition of the car you got and how was the service and sales people? Would you recommend Max to somone who doesnt have great credit? Overall how would you rate them besides the fact they you have to pay at another location??

We purchased a 2007 Chrysler Aspen in July and have never been happier. The car has absolutely no problems and we just love it. The interest rate was fair and the payments were affordable. The staff was very patient with me as I probably test drove every car on their lot before deciding on one. They have really nice cars for a place that does in-house financing, most of those places have crappy cars. My car is still under the manufacturers warranty if that says anything. I would highly recommend these guys.

Good if you want to re-establish your credit. Cars are overpriced and sales people strecth the truth. You will need $1000 down and your payments will be $350 to $400 a month. Interest rate is 24%. Car I bought needs a lot of work. But they claim to report to credit bureaus. Will have to wait and see, I've only had the car a month.

well you are complaining the interest, thats cause your bad credit. try to get a new car(if you can). thats the difference.

I wasn't COMPLAINING about the interest just letting everyone know what the interest is. And yes I was told that is the interest for everyonge. You see they will show you your credit "score" at the beginning and it will be lower then what it should be. I pulled my score before going there and the score they pulled from transunion (i knew all 3 scores) was 100 points lower then the one I pulled the day before. So, let me rephrase the sales people will tell you one thing on what your payments and due date will be then it changes when they bring the loan papers out, so read the papers before you sign. Which I did and I have no trouble with the the payments or such. My problem is the condition of the car and how they try to hide the problems. So if you buy a car there you must be ready to invest in a warrenty and that can be costly. And the one they offer have bad marks with the better busines bureu. Good luck trying to drive the car of the lot to have a mechanic look at it. And bring a friend or two. The sales people will pressure you, as with any dealership, at one point I was going to walk away and the sales person wouldn't give me the keys to my trade in. They way I see it is buy the car make payments for one year then refinance. I already have that lined up. BUT THAT IS ONLY IF THEY REALLY DO REPORT TO THE CREDIT BUREUS AS THEY CLAIM TO DO. I WILL POST ANOTHER COMMENT IN A MONTH OR 2 AND LET YOU KNOW IF THEY DO. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT THE CAR THERE. If they hadn't had this I would of waited another 6 months at which time I would of bought a car at Red McCombs.

So how has your experience been? I'm looking for a car right now and so far people have been telling me that Max is a good place to buy a car. I don't have bad credit, just a lack of credit so the big dealers don't want to help me out, but Max will. Do they report to the bureaus?

Any recent postings on Max Auto sales -thinking about buying here but don't want to buy problems or get taken for a ride with financing!!!!!!!

Actually I lost my job and got sick right after getting the car so I wasn't able to make payments and they said they would take the car back as long as I surrenderd it and they didn't have to send the "repo" man for it. I did and I figured they would put the negitive mark on my credit report..They didn't and they told me to come back when I got back on my feet. It was like I never bought the car. They kept their word and I'm sure they will keep their word about reporting to the credit report. They cars are not what you would get at other places like drive time you just have to really look the car over. I had only minor problems with it. They had nothing older then 2000. Just check your credit before you go they will try to make it worse then it is and the interest is a little high but that is to be expected. And if you can take someone with you that knows about cars. I would say they are no worse then any other car dealership. There are some really good websites that tell you how to approach a car salesman. Like don't buy the car the frist time you go and run a background on the car. They are definately better then drive time and I would recommend them to anyone having trouble getting a car. See my earlier post for what to expect when you get there.

Almost forgot they will work with you on the down payment. I put 500 down then the other 500 my next paycheck which was 2 weeks. Then 1st month payment was due after I had the car for a month.
