From its not-so-humble beginnings as the home of Carl Hilmer Guenther in 1860, it has been restored into one of the more unique dining experiences in the city. Very pleasant- a wonderful place for brunch on the weekends.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe King's House: This restaurant is located in the historical King William district near the Riverwalk in San Antonio. The food was good and the grounds outside the house were very nice.

I would like to thank "You Wish" for sharing that nasty nugget. I have taken many guests to Guenther House and the experiences were always top notch. The 'hair' incident (if true) was unfortunate but certainly out of the ordinary. A description of your bathroom experience was nasty and unnecessary. Your comments should be ignored.
I visited the place and found a ROACH in my ice tea. YUCK!
