    Nice Nice Nice: Great hotel, Great location...
    No need to say anymore

    Pool has an awesome water fall type thing that the kids just loved, close to the river walk and the Alamo. Coffee was available for no charge in the lobby. Staff was helpful.
    Parking was on the expensive side.

    So much for a RELAXING weekend!: The hotel managed to mess up our reservation and only had us down for one night. They were extremely rude and slow when it came to requests made from the room. It took the entire day to bring a roll-away bed up to the room, and it arrived after about six calls to the front desk. Room service was pitiful and slow...not to mention over-priced for the pea-sized serving on the plates.

    The "gated" parking area was a joke. Our car was involved in a HIT & RUN over night and we were never notified. Talk about a surprise when you go to get in your car the next morning. The hotel was indifferent and decided that 50% off of ONE night was sufficient. The manager did not seem to care, and was not very appologetic or friendly regarding this matter.

    Will NEVER stay here again, and if I were you, I would think twice before making reservations at this hotel!

    Quiet and Exotic: The Plaza San Antonio is not on the River Walk, which makes it an oasis of peace and quiet, yet it is just a short walk from the river, through La Villita. Exotic pheasants and peacocks stroll through the grounds. The pool area is beautiful with fountains and partly enclosed cabanas. The restuarant is highly rated and worth a trip even if you're not a hotel guest. The breakfast buffet with unlimited freshly-squeezed orange juice is delightful. The staff are responsive and pleasant. The Plaza San Antonio is a gem.
