About:This is a funky little spot in the middle of the stereotypically conservative Alamo Heights neighborhood. It serves breakfast and dinner, but is most popular for lunch. The soup-and-sandwich-type lunch menu and daily specials have a decidedly healthy and sometimes vegetarian, bent. Don't miss the iced herbal tea, the spinach salad or the turkey burger. The dinner specials are also worth a try, especially the grilled empanadas with ground beef and onions and the potato stir-fry, blended with seasoned spinach and fresh tomatoes. If you have a sweet tooth, a warm snicker doodle cookie is the way to go. Twin Sisters draws a crowd early, so plan to wait for a table.

The food actually good. But the service is completely relaxed for me to say I would comeback, when i first found this place I thought Cool, but the consistancy of lack in customer service was just absurd, you see employees just hanging around talking and mean while, my water isnt' getting filled, no untensils, tables aren't being cleaned off, my food just isnt' coming and they are always out of something. Worst part is you comment these things to employees and its not like they give a damn. hmmmm.

Seems like the guy who made the last comment either works there or owns the place ( I hope he doesn't own it). Comments like that show you the lack of customer service. The comment was valid by the customer who made it. Obviously she did not have a good experience when she went. If you are an employee...then SHAPE UP and learn some customer relations skills...and if you are an owner...Your bussiness will shut down by that kind of attitude. Nothing beats an excellent customer experience even if the food is bad.

I always go to Twin Sisters when I am in SA: Twin Sisters is my favorite place in SA to grab lunch- the tortilla soup can't be beat. The "Business Women's Lunch" is a steal- and you don't have to be a lady to order it. Don't forget the flavored iced tea. The atmosphere is casual and friendly and decorated with local artist's works. When I visit SA, Twin Sister's is a must.

Healthy and Sinfully good !: The food is very healthy , made with fresh ingredients. The bread and the soups are like none I have had before. The people are very nice and it is a very friendly place.
