I also signed for a "month 2 month" and paid for my first and LAST month's fees up front (plus a few other fees). The cancellation policy states you must mail a letter requesting cancellation giving 30 days notice. I sent a letter in on 4/4 and on 5/3 they charged my bank card AGAIN!
I called to find out why and she said because I didn't send my cancellation before 4/1 that it didn't fall within the "required" 30 days notice. When I questioned what about my LAST month's dues I paid UP FRONT she told me that will be applied to my June's month membership and that I will access to the facility until July 1. I won't even be in the area after May 27th and I'm too busy moving throughout May to use their facilities! So I'm paying $160 in membership dues for services that I can't even use. When I asked her "so, essentially that means you guys want 60 days notice in order to apply the up front paid dues to your "real" last month?" She simply stated "if that's how you want to look at it then yes."
No customer service at the regional office (SA) and SUPER crappy cancellation policy.
She didn't even care when I told her that I would not recommend their facilities to anyone I know...she just said "ok".
It's funny that the employees at the actual facility (who are very young) have better customer relation skills than someone at their regional office. At least the Evans Road facility was nice, the areas were clean, and the staff was nice. Oh well...just another $160 applied to nothing whatsoever.
Signed up for a "month 2 month" membership in San Antonio. We moved after a year. They kept billing our Credit card. Very rude. In order to cancel you have to send certified return receipt letter "Requesting" to cancel your membership!!!!!!!!!! Save your money.... go elsewhere!
Love this gym. Great location (I live in Southtown), good size, friendly staff, clean, and parking never a problem. Couldn't ask for more (but maybe that they stay open til at least 10pm).
