In 2005 my daughter, then 5 yrs old, had a stroke. But, she also has Down Syndrom, and hydrocephalus with a shunt. We transferred to Dr. Mancuso in 2005 after "firing" our daughter's previous neurosurgeon, at the recommendation of her pedi. hemotologist/onc. She took us in, handled us with extreme concern and care, and performed an extrememly delicate procedure on our daughter. Dr. Mancuso is one of those few brilliant specialists with fantastic people skills. She dealt with all of our questions and fears during our appointment, and we NEVER felt as if she was in a hurry or wanting to move on the the next patient. She didn't leave the room until she knew our questions were answered and our fears addressed.

Our latest experience was this June, when our daughter, who was diagnosed with ALL leukemia in Sept. '07, needed a shunt revision due to an infection caused by a supressed immune system b/c of chemo treatments. Dr. Mancuso and her associates were awesome, weighing all possibilities, and working in conjuction with our DD's encologist, who worked out of another hospital.

We would recommend her to anyone and everyone. Her associates in the practice, Drs. Tulles and Bingaman, are fantastic also! This practice is phenomenal

Prior to scheduling an appointment with Dr. Patricia Mancuso, my husband and I researched her credentials, and we were impressed. Dr. Patricia Mancuso was the one who diagnosed my daughter and operated on her twice. The first to correct the problem and the second time was reconstruction. Dr. Mancuso is caring, knowledgeable and experienced. Dr. Mancuso is an excellent neurologist who saved my daughter's life. Since the surgery, my daughter is a healthy above average teenager. She has won for the past 3 consecutive years 1st Team All District in softball and she is in the top 5% of her class. This would not have been possible, if it had not been for Dr. Patricia Mancuso’s neurological expert knowledge and above all caring attitude.

Dr. Mancuso is the best Pediatric Neurosurgeon in San Antonio. My daughter needed neurosurgery at 6 months of age. Dr. Mancuso did an excellent job with an excellent team. Dr. Mancuso took a lot of time educating me and providing me with the confidence I needed to subject my daughter to surgery.
