They have student appreciation day every year, they take you to some park on west ave or blanco, forgot which it is. They serve hamburgers and hillcountry fare sodas and thats it. We were to play volleyball and all these activities but yea ppl came to sign in to get credit, eat and leave. The medical assistant might be good, but goodluck after you finish in finding a job in that field!. I went to that school for medical admin.assistant, and yeah they helped in a externship site but after that , it was on my own and not many doctors are willing to hire an entry level person. In ads, they want 6mths to a year experience, when you only get 160 hours of externship which is one months on hands training. They will persuade you to sign on for financial aid and most do qualify. This school is 10k and not even worth it!!! After I finished school, they had alot of different staff members there, and alot quit. I would NOT recommend this school to anyone. Maybe HAVAC dept is the only one thats good. My friend was in the pharm tech field, he finished and didnt find work til 6mths later at walgreens. It's easy to finish the school but to find a job that someone will hire you is hard and the recruiters dont really help much on that.
I am currently enrolled in the Medical Assisting program and, it is wonderful! I am truly learning a whole bunch. The instructors are really great and, the school itself is in excellent condition. Nice labs, nice students and, the school appreciates its many students by having activities for the students for example, we recently had a student appreciation field day! I would highly recommend Everest!!!!
