We ate at Boudro's just this past Saturday evening. We really enjoyed the food. I had the Herb Crusted Fish Fillet with Israeli Couscous and thought the flavors blended great! The only glitch we faced was the bread served prior to the meal. The dash of rosemary added to the butter was a nice touch but the bread was cold. It might be personal preference so we thought if we were going to spend one hundred dollars on dinner we would like to have our bread warm. We sent it back and when it came back, once again cold. We fed it to the ducks since we were sitting by the Riverwalk. I also had the Creme Brulee for dessert which was nice. It was very busy so be sure if you do not have reservations, be there before six thirty.
Dined at Boudro's for our 10 year anniversary. We were met with Champagne and a great corner table. I dined on one of the house specials...Quail! The birds were stuffed with rice and came with new potatos. It was fantastic. The wife had some house special fish which also was good. Had to try the guacamole as it was consistantly recommended, but we failed to see what the big deal was. Fresh...sure, but not necessarily any big deal. It was a fantastic meal and service was adequate. Do make a reservation as it gets packed.
Boudros's is fab!!! We have taken the riverboat dinner cruise three years in a row and will continue to take one every time we are in San Antonio. Pricey, but sooooo worth it!! You must do it! Food is excellent, service is so gracious, margaritas are yummy and the tour around the river is so romantic! Great for families too. We've taken our girls and they just love it! If you are vacationing in San Antonio, Boudro's is not one to miss!
