About:If you are planning a trip to the Alamo city, there are two things you must eat: any type of authentic Mexican food and Paesano's "Shrimp Paesano." This incredible appetizer/entree is so rich and tasty that you won't know when to stop. Paesano's on the River Walk has a relaxed yet upscale atmosphere; you can sit inside or by the river and browse through an extensive wine list. Don't stop with the Shrimp Paesano, though, because everything on the menu is fresh and scrumptious. The pasta dishes are huge, the pizza is made with fresh, innovative ingredients, and the meats are varied and delicious.     My wife and I were visting the area and decided to try Paesanos. It seemed nice. The staff was friendly, the food was ok, but the cockroaches were horrible. Towards the end of the meal, I looked at my leg and had roaches on me. When I complained to the management, he told me it happens all the time and didn't offer us any compensation. I will never eat there again and I would never recommend it to anyone.

    This place had the WORST Italian food, if you could call it that, I have ever eaten in my life. As a trained chef, I know what I'm talking about and I won't exaggerate on how bad it was. I went there with my Father and Grandmother just after Christmas and we had traveled all the way from California. I wanted Italian and walked that whole damn riverwalk before coming upon this place. We got in and were the only people in the joint, maybe that should have been a sign. It took forever to get the food but I would have been happier if it never came. Our calamari was clearly processed and had the consistency of a rubber band. My dad got some kind of salad with steak. Well, the steak was cubed steak if you could believe that and tough as a belt. I had the lasagne with meat sauce. I have had better lasagne out of a box, seriously. The food was so bad I don't even want to remember what my Grandmother had. Then the check comes, 70 BUCKS!!!! Unbelievable!!!! I was really pissed. I actually think Prego and Chef Boyardee are better than what this place had to offer. It's absolutely outrageous that these people consider what they serve as edible. The place was still empty when we left and the whole area was crowded with Northwestern and Missouri college football fans who packed every other eatery there. Harsh but true.

    Awesome service
    Bad food
    Terrible prices

    Seriously overpriced food. I wouldn't mind paying the price IF they had food to match, but they don't. This food is really bad. To make it worse the food does not come out as the menu advertises.....For example a $25 dish that was supposed to have lobster....literally had one small piece of lobster. I feel a bit bad though because the service I received was spec-freaking-tacular. Our waiter was ridiculously attentive.
