About:Hop a trolley from the River Walk for something different at this brewpub. The huge copper brewing tanks here figure prominently and a sizable patio offers a view of the tranquil end of the River. Along with the variety of beers, it offers standard fare such as burgers and chicken wings, as well as a few surprises including Sauteed Chicken and Artichokes and Grilled Salmon. Try a four-ounce sample of the Smoked Dark Ale or the creamy Stout. Note that the kitchen stops serving food at 10pm during the week and at midnight on weekends.

    NOT GLBT Friendly.... in fact Joey himself has asked GLBTs to leave and not come back. Avoid Blue Star and Joeys!!!

    If you go make sure it's not anytime after first friday. I went a week after first friday. three kinds of beer to chose from. My family ordered thier famous sodas but they only had one kind. Everybody must have still been hung over from the week before. Highlight was the waitress carrying glasses to be refilled with her fingers inside them. Kind of a waste of time if you're a slacker-loser it will feel like home.

    the blue plate special is one the best kept secrets in SA, great food, lots of food & dessert for under $7. this place is nice and good servers, great mix of locals and tourists. try the beer with 11% alcolohol
