We didnt even stay for the food! Our family of four , including a booster and high chair, were smashed into a corner, like sardines, at the tiniest table ever. And when we asked if we could move to a bigger table they said no, and that they seat families of four at that table all the time and no one complained. So after they were incredibly rude to us we left. Not worth getting up two hours early to going and wait in line only to have to leave because of the service.
Overrated. This place has become popular because of word of mouth. It's not worth the wait. The pancakes taste blah, the SYRUP!, OMG it's terrible. They have gotten so many bad reviews abt the syrup and still hasn't changed it. It'l like colored water! The service is terrible, you are just halfway in your meal and they're giving u the check like they are hurrying you up. The food is not appealing..Just blah. IHOP is so much better
Ok Kate : you must been there during the weekend .Got there before the crowd : 7 AM we had French toast, omelet bacon & cheese ,pancake chocolate chips , corned beef hash The syrup was thin “but” made with “natural” ingredients. That’s is the point ! So our breakfast was superb & service was excellent.
I have to disagree with Kate. The homemade syrup is probably my favorite part. Yes it does have a thin consistency and that is part of the greatness. It soaks into the pancakes so evenly and it's just amazing. I go there everytime I'm in San Antonio and can't honestly remember if we get our check halfway through the meal or not. If we did, I guess I wasn't too bothered by it or didn't feel rushed. I would have to say the service is at least average. I have never had bad service. Finally, to compare it to IHOP is just ridiculous. That's where this review loses all credibility and is probably just an ex-employee.
