We were recommended to go to Travis to look for flowers for my friends wedding, I had been there once before and thought it was an ok place but had never purchased from them before. Well my friend and I go into the flower cooler and see a couple that we like, we ask one of the ladies there the price and she rudely says "all the prices are on the blackboard" but doesnt even stop to see if we have any other questions, well my friend and i go to the board but have no clue what the flowers are called so its obvious we are having some trouble, I asked another lady the price she did tell me but the first lady I asked was right next to her and I heard her say "I already helped them, I guess they dont listen" I then just told the first lady that no she didnt, we arent florists nor know the names of the flowers, so no she wasnt any help at all. She then just rolled her eyes and walked away....We never became irate or anything because my friend and i have both been on the other side of working in retail so we know how difficult it could get but whatever happened to customer service, needless to say they lost business due to that one employee. I also didnt think their prices were very competitive, we found what we needed much cheaper elsewhere.
I had a great experience purchasing flowers for my outdoor wedding. James was extremely helpful. He gave floral and arrangement advice for our special needs. He even took the time to help draw out how the arrangements should be placed. He provided ideas that I would not have thought of that made the arrangements absolutely perfect. I could not have hoped for a better experience.
I am only giving them 1 star because its the lowest it can be rated. I was recommended to Travis wholesale for vases. So far my experience with them has been HORRIBLE!
I ordered 3 size vases (8', 10' & 12') 24 in each size and picked the up on a Saturday. Well, two of the sizes were correct but I only received 12 of the 12' vases and they were the wrong width. I called right back up and they said "I'm sorry, but the person you need to talk with is not here, so call back on Monday."
So I called Monday at 8 and they told me to call back at 9:30 because she wasn't in yet. I left my number and asked for her to call me - after all they messed up the order they should be trying to make it right with me! Well, she never called - so I called around 11. She was eating while on the phone with me!!!!! She said she would have to check their storage to see if we they had any, but only one guy could do that and he was off, so I needed to call back the next day!!!!
Anyway, I played phone tag with the stock guy and the lady who places the orders for over 2 weeks! Everytime I called neither of them knew what I was talking about even though I had just spoke to them the day before! I would say my name and it was about the vases, and she would ask did you need to order some . . . I could not believe it. It is not that busy of a place. It was insane!
SO FINALLY . . . I explained to Candy for the 10th time that I paid for 24 vases and only received 12 & they were the wrong size . . . she said, "I will see if we can order them and call you right back."
20 minutes later I call her back, she says, "Oh, I didn't call about ordering them I am in the middle of something. I'll do it later." WHAT?!?!?!?!? Then she calls me like an hour later and says they don't carry the 12' vases - eventhough I saw them in the store.
I was like whatever I will take the 6' vases. So I go in to exchange them and receive the price difference and I just so happened to look in the vase isle . . . not only were there plenty of 12' vases BUT THEY OVER CHARGED ME ON 2 SIZES!
When I asked Candy why and she said ... "why did I charge you that price?" I wanted to scream. Then she tells me that ALL the vases on the shelf are miss marked (priced too low) . . what!?
I didn't even bring up the fact that they had the 12' vases that I was told they don't have b/c I was so fed up with them. I just wanted to get out of there.
SO I get in line to get my card credited and she calls to the front and tells the clerk, "she only brought back 12 vases not 24." OMG! I only got 12! They are the wrong size! Thats why I am returning them!
My advice STAY AWAY or DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE! I thought I could trust them to ensure my order was correct . . . WRONG.
I have no experience with their flower department,so I can not comment on that portion of their business. But BEWARE if you are going to go to them just know that they have HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and NO PEOPLE SKILLS!
