| About: | In a city where Mexican food reigns supreme, Los Barrios Mexican Continental Cuisine is one of the kings. But Los Barrios doesn't rely on formalitythe menu promotes eating tacos, tostados, tortillas, and flautas with your fingers. The restaurant's large seating capacity is made homier with traditional colors and wall art, large windows and lots of lush green plants. A well-stocked bar and live music Friday-Sunday evenings help make the wait for a table a little more bearable. With a comprehensive menu offering everything from tacos and tamales to cabrito and cod, it's hard to decide what to order. However, you can't go wrong with the Classic Enchilada Assortment, which offers enchiladas prepared five different ways. |

The food was good, the service was so-so. This could be due to the noise level . We went to dinner on Friday night, and unfortunately the noise on a busy night is deafening. I couldn't hear anyone at my table speak. It was like being at a noisy bar. IPrefer eating at Jacala's Mexican Restaurant.
On a family vacation to San Antonio, we wanted to sample some of the SA fare. We LOVE authentic Mexican food, Tex-Mex, any little spin on Mexican food. I had seen this restaurant on "Throwdown with Bobby Flay" and was excited to go and taste some of their puffed tacos. The service was GREAT, but unfortunately, the food was not. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. We walked away very disappointed. It was difficult to find and get to for out-of-towners, so we will not be returning on our next trip. I wish I could give more detail as to why we didn't like the food, but that's just it.....it was very forgettable.
This Restaurant caters to Gringos who dont know real Mexican Food..

The food is awesome here peasant swine. It's the best in Texas! The only disappointment is in your husbands pants. Your forgettable. Don't ever come back to our fine city you tramp!
Mary, go back to New York! Lady, you wouldn't know real Mexican food if it landed on your bad hair-doo. This place rocks! The service is great. Don't ever return here. You stink!
BMiller- When attempting to write the English language, "your" is the possessive form. "You're" would be the one you're looking for. Husband's requires an apostrophe. You might need someone to follow you around and help you out. Bruce- Born and bred in Texas. Sorry to disappoint. If you are that upset about food, I'm guessing you have bigger problems than I, so I'll let your ignorance slide.
