| About: | If your memories of movie theaters include sticky floors and shabby seats, the new Live Oak 18 cinema will surprise and delight. Featuring 18 screens, all of which have stadium-style seating, this spotlessly clean multiplex offers a good selection of first-run movies. There is a large concession area with fresh popcorn, cold drinks, nachos and candies. One thing hasn't changed from the old days of movie theaters is that Raisinets and Twizzlers licorice are still sold by the boxful. The spectacular sound system and comfortable, roomy seating, however, are all new. Call for show times and current releases. |

To the reviewer who made a comment as to the safety at night, I am in total agreement. I was driving through the parking lot with my girlfriend to eat at the steakhouse nearby, and I felt like I was on the scene of a Little Wayne rap video.
There definitely is a "hoodrat" feel to the atmosphere, and I'd strongly avoid taking a date or one's family here, unless you are carrying a tazer or at the very least some pepperspray.
If you are handicapped, this is not the theatre to visit. Too much walking just to get to the box office, then more walking to get to your movie. Handicapped parking is always filled up. Pop corn lines are way too long, not enough help. We waited 35 minutes to get snacks. Girl was very slow, didn't know how to work our gift card. She said the machine wouldn't take our gift card! Go to Northwoods, good facility!
This movie theater is kept clean, the only problem is that this movie theater is not kid friendly. I do know that its not easy to watch a movie with kids that are noisy, but if you are watching a kids movie, its implied that kids are going to be there.
An old ladie watching the movie alone complained to the point that a manager came and asked me if I would like to have some tickets for another day. I told him no, and he insisted that I take the tickets.
NOT KID friendly is my final verdict.
