oh my goodness we actually LOVE the Longhorn cafe, it's the best!!! Very kid friendly and GREAT food. Seriously, I never write reviews but I just had to defend this restaurant.

OKAY....SAJersey guy needs to relax. It's just a burger place! People like it, if you don't oh well.
And if you feel that passionately about it why don't you write an e-mail and circulate it. Hopefully your e-mail goes around the world so your voice can be heard globally!!!!

Ouch, SAjerseyguy's review hurts but don't be discouraged. The burgers that are served are no more than 2mm thick so they aren't overly meaty. I always get 'em dry so it doesn't drip, but that's usually how it is at ANY burger place when you add condiments, but the meat is still juicy. I'm not a fry person, so I get the tater tots which are always crispy, they taste even better with the hot sauce. Be careful when you order their chicken salad...they get a little crazy with the cheese! Their frito pie and chili cheese fries are meals within themselves, so be ready to mash when you order those! The last thing I can recommend is the batter dipped mushrooms. The batter is flour and spices that taste great with mushrooms, not the chicken because it comes out too dry. Mushrooms are juicy so these huge fungi come out great!! Give 'em a few minutes to cool down because like everything else at longhorn, They're served right off the fryer or deep fryer and won't disappoint in taste!!
There are no waiters, you stand in line, place your order and pay for the food. There are beer tubs with ICE COLD beer in them and soda fountains with coca cola products or tea, if you prefer.
We always take our out of town guest's here and they, like us, love it!
