I used to love Fujiya and we would usually order the "Bento Box A" for lunch. However, recently the quality of the food seems to have dropped off. They used to provide a small selection of tempura vegetables in the boxes, but now it seems that only one tempura vegetable is offered in the Bento Box. Also, they seem to be devoting less care to their teriyaki chicken and California rolls. Nothing seems to be as good as it was in recent times. I'll give them another try soon, but if the quality does not pick up that will be my last visit.

I visited this restaurant for my sister's birthday---a family affair. I was a little apprehensive (having never eaten Japanese), but it was great! Our waitress was very polite and talked and joked with us often. Sure, it took a little while to get our food (maybe 30-40 mins), but I would rather have something fresh than from under a heating lamp! We are definitely going back!

I lived in Japan for 5 years. This is the worst food I have ever eaten. The sushi was like HEB frozen food! A roach crawled out of my miso soup!

I've been eating at Fujiya since they were at their previous location. The two most consistent things about it is that the food has always been great and the service has always been slow (although usually tolerably slow).

Our last experience was less than satisfactory. One diner's food arrived after the other two had finished theirs. To make matters worse, we had to get another waiter just to run down ours to bring that last dish. Thanks to the bus boy we were able to pay our bill before the restaurant closed. It should be noted that all of the food was good and well prepared, though.

Fujiya has a great kitchen and sushi bar and also has a decent selection of sake, but their service problems make it tough to give them any more stars.
