| About: | Just a short drive out of the city, nestled in the little town of Leon Springs, you'll find some of the best barbecue in this part of the state. Rudy's is housed in what resembles an old country store and the rows of picnic tables inside and out of the restaurant are filled with diners almost any time of day. After dining, wander through the general store to stock up on snacks. You can even fill up your gas tank outside. |

Hands down best bbq place in the area. The bbq sauce some of the best I've ever tasted. Only thing they could work on is the lack of patience they have for first time customers.
If your in San Antonio, you definitly need to stop by Rudy's. With friendly atmosphere it was easy to come in to a different but unique set up. We were given free samples to help us our food selection. My favorite side was the creamed corn, never had it till then. We also tried a bit of all the meats, plus with the BBQ, it was finger licking good!
Don't know what all the fuss is about with this place. The brisket is inconsistent, the ribs are the absolute worst I've ever had and are WAY overpriced, the turkey is OK and the creamed corn is great. I personally think Bill Miller's is better overall.

Some of the worst food in town. The brisket tastes like a car tire, the beans are old, the potato salad must have been frozen, the cole slaw was disgusting, and the ribs were pathetic. Foodbuff get a life! You have no taste buds buddy!!!
