I have to agree... Great range... Nice pitch and putt course... BUT... The course itself is in terrible condition with all the hard pack dirt and rocks etc. You can't play by the rules here becuase if you hit off the concrete hard fairways you will break some club heads or shafts at best. I played yesterday for the first time in over a year hoping conditions had improved but they have not at all...
Love the location, hate the fairways: I'm new to this sport and have been playing this couse for only a few years now and love the location but God can only help these fairways. It's like playing on a parking lot. The fairways are so hard even a bad tee will let the ball roll half ways down the fairway. I know I'm somewhat new to the sport but isn't there suppost to be GRASS on the fairway. As the other guy who reviewed this course said, I hate to rate any course as poor, but hopefully someone will do something about making some improving on this course.
This course needs some major improving and right way.
Now if you need a great place to practice this is the place the range, putting green, and chipping area are excellent.
Walk it, Roll it, only for Practice: I hate to rate any course as poor, but hopefully someone will do something about improving this course. It is in a great location, close to thousands of residents and is cheaper than Cedar Creek. It could make a fortune if they would take a good hard look at improving the course the right way. This course is in desperate need of a good fairway overhaul to get rid of rocks and improve irrigation to grow some grass. The greens are in great shape but you are hard pressed to find a good strip of grass anywhere else. The practice range, pitch and putt, staff, and instructors, are excellent. The course, however, needs grass on the fairways and more sensible improvements on the back nine to make riding a cart or walking 18 worth the money. The pitch and putt course is great. The double decker mats and grass driving range is great. But the course is only good for practicing tight lies, bump and runs, and moving off center shots several feet to avoid hitting rocks. Sadly, the back nine was recently renovated. Most regulars play the front nine twice.
