Our party Had A GREAT Experience. Food Was Really Good, the price is reasonable compare the rest of the Hibachi restaurant in San Antonio and we went there at dinner time so The Chef did a really good show and joke. Our kids love it. I Would Definitely Recommend and Go Again. This's a really good place to celebrate any occasion with family and friends,THANKS SHOGUN "IT WAS AN GREAT EXPERIENCE WE WON'T FORGET"
Last week was my 21st birthday and we celebrated in Shogun again. This is the 5th years that we have family gathering over there since moved from Los Angeles. *****Food, service and the place are very nice! We have a lot of fun and precious moment. Shogun, "Ganbare"
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The prices for dinner are outrageous
for the little food that they give. I received measly portions of beef and shrimp and my
husband got maybe 3-4 small chicken bites. He had ordered a chicken plate and some
of his chicken was given to the next couple beside us who had not even ordered chicken!
The shrimp was rubbery and stale tasting. The rice and noodles were tasty though but I received maybe a few spoonfuls of each. The waitress did not appear to speak very good English and did not understand me. The wait for the chef to appear was quite long. When the chef came I thought he was making jokesin poor taste. It is never wise to insult or demean customers and that is what this chef was doing and it certainly was not funny. When a customer is laughing, I would never look at her face and call it "fake laugh". There were racially inappropriate jokes as well. Challenging these ignorant chefs and pointing out their inappropriate behavior is useless because they will just insult you back. My husband and I went there expecting to have a private table but this is a restaurant where they dictate where a couple sits. They are too lazy to open up 4-5 grills in case couples want a table to themselves. We were forced to sit at a table with 2 other couples. Restaurant was dirty and appeared very old looking. Overall experience was very poor and the prices are way too high for the little food they give. I am surprised they are still in business.

As all I know, all the tepannyaki restaurant are mostly sharing the hibachi table, please tell me if you could find a private 2-person table in regular dinner hour. FYI, Shogun has been in town for more than 13 years and YES! they are still in business........Good luck everyone
